All change for 2017!


It is with regret that as of this week I am no longer head chef at Moruzzi & Co in Neath. It came as a bit of a shock at first and certainly not a welcoming start to 2017. After digesting it for a few days it has become clear that after 18 months of tireless effort putting my heart & soul into the Moruzzi kitchen and after having trained a good team, who will undoubtedly go on to achieve good things in their own right & maintain my high standards. It has dawned on me that it is actually the highest compliment a chef can have, to do myself out of my own job by my own excellent training and high standards is a progression of sorts, a bit like natural selection I suppose. So now I’ve removed my knives books & equipment from the kitchen that I’ve lived and breathed for the last 18 months or so (it will take longer to untangle it from my soul, kitchens do that) I bid everyone all the success & happiness moving forward. 

The kinship & brotherhood bonds that are forged in the heat of a busy successful kitchen last a lifetime………

So now it is with great happiness I can announce that I have been welcomed into the Penycae family so I will hopefully see you all soon.
