On Friday the 7th of November at 8pm The Ship Inn, Port Eynon will be holding a special evening to celebrate the bounty of good ingredients available to us on Gower. Often referred to in my blogs as my extended larder my chefs and I are going to put together a tasting menu which is the very essence of seasonality using as much as we can from Gower.

Mulled local Cider with Brandy
Brandade of home smoked local fish, Penclawdd cockles, Laverbread & Swansea mussels bound with leeks and Welsh cheese wrapped in a parcel with Carmarthen ham.
Ravioli of confit Gower pork & duck served in a light Porcini mushroom broth.
Gower Lobster Scampi with Port Eynon chilli mayonnaise, foraged Sea Purslane, crispy Samphire
A Duo of Gower beef: Beef Daube & Penderyn bourbon glazed rib, local roasted roots, Parsnip purée mini roast potatoes.
